working title
The work investigates the construction of a dramaturgy of time through tap dance, treating rhythm as choreographic material and technology as a constitutive element of scenic composition. Through a responsive lighting system, the relationships between body, sound, and space become perceptible, creating an experience in which temporal organization is continuously reshaped by the tap dancer’s movement.
A performative investigation that approaches tap dance as a compositional device connecting body, sound, light, and time. Structured around a metronome and the gradual occupation of rhythmic intervals, the work develops a dramaturgy grounded in the emergence of relationships between gesture, listening, movement, and technology. Each new layer reorganizes the perception of those that came before, generating difference without abandoning the initial structure.
Throughout the performance, pulse, syncopation, subdivisions, and choreography continuously transform the spectator’s temporal experience, allowing the same rhythmic organization to be perceived in ever-changing ways. Integrated into a responsive lighting system, technology does not illustrate the dance; rather, it participates in the composition itself, making visible the transformations that traverse the relationship between body, sound, and space.
